COURSE OBJECTIVES

To teach the relevant job safety knowledge and practical skills necessary for the safe an efficient use of Mobile Loading Ramps, to operators involved in the use of this type of equipment.

    • Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 Section 2, 7 & 8
    • LOLER (The Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998)
    • PUWER (Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998)
    • MHSWR (The Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999)
    • The Road Traffic Act 1988
    • HSG136 (Workplace Transport Safety)
  • Rated Capacities and Stability
  • General Safety Rules

COURSE CONTENTS (PRACTICAL)

  • Introduction to the Machine
  • Inspection / Securing the Vehicle on the Hoist
  • Pre-use inspection of Ramp
  • Fitting & Removing the Ramp
  • Loading and Unloading the Vehicle using a Ramp
  • Storage of the Ramp
  • Practical Skill Tests
