Only entries completed in accordance with these Terms & Conditions will be valid.

6.Entry Restrictions
Maximum one (1) entry per person.
Multiple, bulk, automated, incomplete, illegible, fraudulent, or third-party entries will not be accepted.
Any attempt to circumvent the rules, including by using multiple identities or email addresses, may result in disqualification.
7.Prize
7.1Prize value and permitted use

There is one (1) prize available.

The Prize consists of £1,000 worth of online training credit, inclusive of VAT, redeemable against eligible online training courses or modules available through the Promoter’s online training system during the Prize validity period (“Prize”).

The Prize is exclusively for online training. It cannot be used for classroom training, in-person training, bespoke training, consultancy, travel, accommodation, or any other products or services.

The Prize may be used against any number of eligible online training courses or modules up to the total value of £1,000, inclusive of VAT.

7.2Account credit and expiry

The Prize will be credited to a user account in the Promoter’s online training system, linked to the email address submitted by the entrant at the time of entry. The Prize will only be credited after the winner has responded to the Promoter, passed any required verification checks, and accepted the Prize.

All courses and modules purchased using the Prize must be booked and completed within 12 months of the date the Prize credit is added to the winner’s online training account.

7.3Allocation to other users

The winner may allocate eligible online training course or module access purchased using the Prize to other people. However, the Prize, the training credit, and the account to which the Prize is credited remain non-transferable.

7.4Restrictions on transfer, resale and cash alternatives

The winner must not sell, transfer, assign, share, sub-license, exchange, auction or otherwise monetise the Prize, the training credit, the associated training account, or any access provided as part of the Prize.

Any unused balance will remain available until the expiry date, but unused credit will not be refunded, exchanged for cash, transferred to another person, account or organisation, combined with any discounts, offers, promotional codes, vouchers, credits or other promotions, or carried over after expiry.

7.5Course availability and changes

Courses and modules are subject to availability. The Promoter reserves the right to amend, withdraw, replace, suspend or discontinue any course or module, or to change course content, delivery format, dates, access arrangements or technical requirements, where reasonably necessary.

7.6Exclusions and tax

Unless expressly stated otherwise, the Prize does not include:

travel;
accommodation;
meals;
insurance;
installation;
optional upgrades or extras;
taxes, duties, or other personal expenses.

The winner is responsible for any tax liability arising from acceptance or use of the Prize.

8.Online Training Platform
8.1Third-party platform access

The winner may be required to create, access or use an account on a third-party online training platform in order to redeem and use the Prize. Use of that platform may be subject to separate access requirements, technical requirements and platform terms.

8.2Technical requirements

The Promoter is not responsible for any inability to access or complete any course or module caused by the winner’s or any allocated user’s internet connection, device compatibility, software, browser, security settings, workplace IT restrictions, or failure to meet any applicable technical or platform requirements.

8.3Misuse or breach of platform terms

The Promoter may refuse, suspend or cancel access to the Prize, any training credit, any training account, or any course or module access if the winner or any person allocated training access misuses the platform, breaches applicable platform terms, acts unlawfully, or acts in a way the Promoter reasonably considers improper, abusive or unfair.

9.Prize Substitution

The Promoter reserves the right to substitute the Prize with another prize of equal or greater value if circumstances beyond the Promoter’s reasonable control make this necessary.

10.Winner Selection

The winner will be selected at random from all valid and eligible entries received during the Promotion Period using a computer process that produces verifiably random results.

The draw will take place within 14 days of the closing date.

The Promoter’s decision is final.

11.Winner Notification
11.1Contacting the winner

The winner will be contacted by email, using the email address provided at the time of entry, within 7 days of the draw.

11.2Failure to receive or respond to email

The Promoter is not responsible if a winner notification is not received because the entrant provided an incorrect email address, the email is filtered as spam or junk, or the entrant otherwise fails to receive or read the email.

If the winner:

does not respond within 14 days of the first contact attempt;
cannot be contacted after reasonable attempts;
declines the Prize; or
is found to be ineligible,

the Promoter reserves the right to withdraw the Prize and select an alternative winner.

12.Verification
12.1Verification checks

The Promoter may require the winner to provide reasonable proof of age, identity, UK residency, event attendance, eligibility and continued access to the email address submitted at the time of entry before the Prize is credited or used.

12.2Withdrawal or cancellation of the Prize

If the winner does not provide the requested information within a reasonable time, or the Promoter reasonably believes the winner is ineligible or has submitted false, misleading or temporary contact details, the Promoter may withdraw or cancel the Prize and select an alternative winner.

If, after the Prize has been credited, the Promoter reasonably believes that the winner is ineligible, has breached these Terms & Conditions, has misused the Prize, or has allowed the Prize to be misused, the Promoter may suspend or cancel any unused training credit and any unused course or module access.

13.Prize Fulfilment

The Prize will be delivered, arranged, or made available within 30 days of the winner being successfully contacted, verified and having accepted the Prize, unless otherwise agreed.

The Promoter is not responsible for delays outside its reasonable control.

14.Winner Information / Publicity

To demonstrate that a valid prize award has taken place, the Promoter will either publish or make available information indicating that a valid award took place, ordinarily the winner’s surname and county.

The winner may object to publication or request that the amount of information published is reduced by contacting info@tal.uk.net.

In such circumstances, the Promoter may still provide the relevant information to the Advertising Standards Authority if required.

15.Data Protection

Personal data supplied in connection with this Promotion will be processed by the Promoter for the purpose of:

administering the Promotion;
contacting the winner;
verifying eligibility; and
arranging delivery or fulfilment of the Prize.

Entrants will only receive marketing communications where they have separately opted in to receive them.

For more information on how personal data is collected, used, stored and protected, please see our Privacy Notice at www.train-a-lift.co.uk/privacy

16.Disqualification

The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any entrant who:

breaches these Terms & Conditions;
submits false or misleading information;
tampers with the entry process;
uses fraudulent means to enter; or
acts in a way the Promoter reasonably considers to be unfair or improper.
17.Liability

The Promoter accepts no responsibility for entries not successfully completed due to:

technical fault;
technical malfunction;
computer hardware or software failure;
network, server, internet, or platform failure; or
any other issue beyond the Promoter’s reasonable control.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability for:

death or personal injury caused by negligence;
fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or
any other liability which cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
18.Changes / Cancellation

The Promoter reserves the right to hold void, suspend, cancel, or amend the Promotion where it becomes necessary to do so due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control.

Any material changes will be made available as soon as reasonably possible.

19.Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Entrants submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
