High demand for ITSSAR Instructor Courses 21 Nov 11

2011 has been one of our best years for ITSSAR Accredited Instructor Courses (Train the Trainer.) We run these courses every month at our Coventry training centre and have also run several courses at cutomer's premises throughout the year.
Employing an 'in-house' instructor is becoming increasingly popular with many companies, giving them increased flexibility and also providing substantial cost benefits.

Designing training standards for Wincanton PLC 23 Sep 11

Train-a-Lift were recently approached by Wincanton PLC to design training standards for their Hammar sideloader fleet (www.hammar.eu) This equipment provides the answer to the problem of offloading and reloading heavy shipping containers without the need for expensive terminal handling equipment.
We used our extensive experience in lorry loader training and applied it to these very specialised machines, the result now allows Wincanton to utilise their own ITSSAR accredited instructors to provide essential safety training to their team of LGV drivers.

Driver CPC approved training centre 11 Mar 11

Train-a-Lift have successfuly obtained approval to become a Driver CPC approved training centre.
The European Legislation Directive 2003/59 requires that all professional HGV/LGV drivers undergo 35 hours training within a fixed five year period, currently 2009 to 2015 and at every five year period. We are now able to offer training modules for the 'periodic element' of the Driver CPC either at customers premises or at our Coventry training centre.
