To train delegates with proven operating ability on specific types of machine in the methods and techniques required for the qualified instruction, training, assessment and certification of lift truck operators, in accordance with the requirements and recommendations of the Health & Safety Commission (HSC) Approved Code of Practice and Supplementary Guidance “Rider Operated Lift Trucks – Operator Training” (COP26).
10 x days (2 x consecutive weeks – Monday to Friday)

Successful delegates are registered and certificated on the ITSSAR National Register of Instructors (as applicable) and are also entered on the TAL Register of Approved FLT Instructors / Examiners.
Delegates attending this course must be experienced and qualified operators of the types of machines on which they will be required to give instruction. They should also meet the relevant recommended medical requirements and have proven themselves to be mature and reliable, with the desire to teach others.
ITSSAR require that delegates must have passed a refresher test to national standards within the 12 months preceeding the course. A Counterbalance or Reach Forklift Safety Refresher is included free of charge, if required.
Delegates are continuously assessed during their training and each course is externally monitored at random by a qualified Training Advisor from ITSSAR
Each delegate is provided with a range of operational and instructional manuals
TAL Centre in Coventry or at customer’s site, subject to availability of classroom accommodation and practice areas
All TAL Staff Tutors are accredited by ITSSAR and are also fully experienced, trained, tested and certificated on the relevant machines
