Course Summary
Learn how to safely operate a pedestrian and rider controlled pallet truck.
On completion of the course you will be familiar with statutory requirements, stability and instability, capacity ratings, machine controls, daily checks, also steering, load weight assessment, load handling in open and confined areas, working on vehicle beds and loading decks and much more.
As a record of your achievement, a TAL certificate of training is provided.

Course Objectives |
To teach the basic skill requirements and associated job safety knowledge to operators of pedestrian controlled and rider operated pallet trucks, (both mechanically and manually operated types). |
Course Duration |
1 or 2 days according to machine type and delegates previous operating experience – maximum 3 x delegates per staff Instructor. Please note: Where machines are manually or part manually propelled and operated the course duration, trainee/instructor/machine ratios, and course programme may be adjusted to suit the particular machine and its application. |
