COURSE OBJECTIVES

To teach the safety requirements and associated job safety knowledge related to carrying out an emergency evacuation from height.

COURSE CONTENTS (THEORY)

  • The need to train and statutory requirements
  • Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 - Section 2, 7 & 8.
  • Working at Height Regulations 2005
  • PPE (Personal Protective Equipment 1992)
  • Emergency procedures

COURSE CONTENTS (PRACTICAL)

  • Safety inspection
  • Back-up safety systems
  • Safe access & Egress
  • Correct use of evacuation system
  • Test evacuation
  • Full evacuation
